Magnolia Sayaw Barangay

Ever since a popular talent search show started, every Filipino got hooked up. Since then, dance contest have been sprouting anywhere. Whether it's on television or a town fiesta, dance groups composed of local youths will surely join. It is a good thing. Local youth are diverted from drugs or other bad vices for this.

Magnolia is also doing this deed for the communities. Magnolia will go to sixteen barangays all over Metro Manila and will see what that barangay can do. Last May 25, I got to see the first barangay Magnolia visited. I got to see five groups in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon in Quezon City what they can do. It was set in the local barangay park. The groups were very competitive that they showed devotion in what they do that one performer got injured in one of the stunts his group performed.

I am not sure yet where's the next barangay or when but I hope they visit mine or at least the nearby barangay so they will have a chance to have opportunities for exposure.

Excerpt from the press release:

Magnolia Healthy Beverages started this year with a new campaign, Iba Ang Sigla sa Magnolia Healthy Beverages, which aims to instilling fun and active nutrition among the youth.

It is an exciting competition that will reward the champion with P5,000, followed by P3,000 and P2,000 for the second and third prize respectively.  The first place winners will move on to the next level of the competition and will compete with other first place winners from other barangays, and still have the chance to win bigger prizes.

Those interested will need to register via SMS or be present on the day of the competition and submit 24 crowns of Magnolia Healthy Beverages RGB and 10 sachets of Magnolia Powdered Drink Mix.

“This endeavor is our way of giving back to the community”, said Ms. KristelTraviño, product assistant of GSMI.  “We believe that by hosting this kind of competition, we will be able to encourage the young generation to have a more healthy and active lifestyle”, she added.
