Movie release material

This May 2014, the world’s most revered monster is reborn as Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures unleash the epic action adventure “Godzilla.” From visionary new director Gareth Edwards (“Monsters”) comes a powerful story of human courage and reconciliation in the face of titanic forces of nature, when the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenseless.
Gareth Edwards directs “Godzilla,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass”), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (“Inception”), Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient”), and Oscar-nominee Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (“The Bourne Legacy”) and Emmy® and Golden Globe Award winner Bryan Cranston (“Argo,” TV’s “Breaking Bad”).

Edwards directs from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, story by David Callaham, based on the character “Godzilla” owned and created by TOHO CO., LTD. Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Mary Parent and Brian Rogers. Patricia Whitcher and Alex Garcia are serving as executive producers, alongside Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira.

In his words, Edwards reveals how he approached shaping the character of Godzilla with all the latter’s personality and presence.

At the start of the process I felt that in some way we could decide and control who Godzilla was. And a strange thing that came from it was that, as we went along, you start to realize that Godzilla was going to tell us who he was, just like actors who have their own take on their characters. Strangely, we couldn’t totally dictate what it was going to be. It was more about just trying different ideas and permutations, and, of all the options, there was always one that was strongest. And slowly he revealed himself to us.

One of the conversations you get into with the animators quite often is they would say, 'If this was a real human, a real character, who would he be? And after thinking about it for a while, the thing we came up with was that he was sort of like the last Samurai. It was that idea of a lone, ancient warrior that would prefer to just not be part of the world if he could and be left alone, but events in the world force him to resurface.

It was very interesting with all these ideas, even designing his look. We have a set of instinctive reactions to animals that have evolved over millions of years, and you basically try different things until you feel the right emotion when you see Godzilla.

I wanted to get something that was very noble. And we tried the obvious things, like bear faces and dogs. But something that felt the most noble was a bird of prey, like an eagle. Eagles have their eyebrows very, very close to their nose, so we made his snout very high up, just near his brow line, and it gives him this look of nobility.

So, it was just trial and error. You try something and the strongest choice becomes clear, and before you know it, you’ve gone down this path and found Godzilla. But it wasn’t easy. I thought it was going to be an easy journey because, obviously, Godzilla has been in so many Japanese films. But, actually, it took us about a year to get the design right and to figure out his behavior as well. Is he an animal? Does he fight just like an animal or has he got more of a human-like nobility to him? There was always a fine line between making him too animalistic and making him too human.”

“Godzilla” is expected to be presented in 3D, 2D and IMAX® in select theatres and distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, except in Japan, where it will be distributed by Toho Co., Ltd. Legendary Pictures is a division of Legendary Entertainment.

Easter Sunday Experience at Best Western Plus Antel Hotel

Even though it is Summer, the weather just right to celebrate Easter at Best Western Plus Antel Hotel in Makati. During my childhood days, we usually have reunions after an Easter worship service that use to held at Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium but since relatives are no longer within the parameters of our annual tradition.
My niece with the other kids hanging out with the clown host.
Easter Sunday is fun if you have kids. That is why I spend time with my immediate niece while she is still young because our lives are linear and it may not happen next time when she gets older. The important part here is that you are around when it happened.
Watching a magic act
My niece was in "game on" mode in the kids events like Easter Egg Hunt and watched excitedly during a magic show. She was also excited when she waits for her turn in face painting and posted a photo with her mom using my phone and posted it on my instagram. Best Western Plus Antel Hotel gave away toys, gift certificates and 2 GCs for overnight stay. The theme for this Easter event was patterned after Disney's Frozen because it is very popular among the kids now.
After the activities, we chilled at the Granvia Café where we chilled off for lunch as savored the brunch buffet. The buffet is mix up of Pinoy, American and Asian dishes. You can also customize your own crepe before you have it microwaved. The atmosphere is also cozy especially if you have kids with you.
The service was also good and the personnel informs us if they already replenishes their buffet. For dessert, I tried their ice cream and it was not like any ice cream I usually get in stores. It is rich in flavor.
Best Western Plus Antel Hotel is situated few steps from A. Venue along Makati avenue. It is situated in Makati's night life destination and events. It has three unique towers: A.Venue Suites, Antel Spa and Serenity Tower. It is the best place option for accommodation if you have events scheduled within the area and it is very exclusive because it is blocks away from the commercial district.
Bacon, eggs and French toast.
Best Western Plus Antel Hotel offers the Barkada Package for a limited time with Breakfast Buffet and choice of Lunch or Dinner Barkada Menu(until May 31), Summer Treat(until May 31) and Best Health & Wellness Promo(Until December 31).
Since it's summer, it is also the best place to held summer events. Best Western Antel Hotel also host the Lozada Swimming Clinic. They are the only hotel in Makati that has an Infinity Pool. Granvia Café's Brunch Buffet is open from 6AM - 10AM and is located on the fourth level of A. Venue Suites

MAN, CHEETAH, WILD on Discovery Channel

-Two-hour special premieres on Sunday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m. SIN/HK

MAN, CHEETAH, WILD follows the true story of one extraordinary cheetah family, and the remarkable man who walked among them for a year and a half. A one-time game ranger with experience in the military, Kim Wolhuter is an Emmy Award-winning wildlife filmmaker who has an incredibly unique gift – the very special ability to befriend and connect with the animals of his native homeland, Zimbabwe. He connects with wild predators and dangerous animals in unbelievably amazing ways – living with them, drinking where they do, finding food on the move and running alongside them. Premiering Monday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m. (2000 hrs) SIN/HK, MAN, CHEETAH, WILD is a two-hour special that documents Kim's unbelievable relationship with a young family of five cheetahs and how these ruthless hunters learnt to trust and accept him as part of their family, allowing him an unparalleled and intimate access into their otherwise elusive and highly secretive world.
Living in the heart of Southern Africa, Kim is a third generation bush ranger from a family who has lived and tangled with deadly predators for nearly a hundred years. Kim's bush skills have gotten him up close and personal with many species, except for the mysterious cheetah – an animal that typically bolts upon sight. In the Malilangwe Game Reserve – 200 square miles of raw beauty that is home to a vast array of wildlife – in Southern Zimbabwe, Kim attempted to locate a female cheetah that he had previously worked and established a relationship with. Following one mysterious feline in 200 square miles proved to be challenging so Kim had a vet implant a tracking device in its belly. Six months on, Kim was unsure if the cheetah was alive having not seen her for that long. When he eventually managed to track her, he was delighted to find that she was mothering a litter of five new cubs.
Despite Kim’s gift of reading animals, there is always the possibility that one wrong move could cost him his life, especially in this instance where mother cheetahs are notoriously protective of their young and would do all it takes to protect their young. Miraculously, this cheetah sensed no threat from Kim and even allowed him an unrestricted and extremely rare opportunity to live and run amongst the family for 18 months, during which he was also able to document their daily lives and the upbringing of one of the rarest wild cats on the planet. The breathtaking and awe-inspiring footage is unlike any other as Kim does not merely sit in a truck to film the family; he wins their trust and runs alongside them barefoot, bringing viewers much closer into the covert world of cheetahs than anyone ever thought possible.
MAN, CHEETAH, WILD encores on Monday, April 28 at midnight (0000 hrs).

PORTLAND, Ore. (April 14, 2014) – adidas today announced a long-term partnership extension with NBA All-Star point guard Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers. The young star will continue to be an integral part of adidas Basketball’s marketing campaigns, product launches and global initiatives moving forward.
“adidas has been great to me over my first two seasons,” said Lillard. “I’ve had the opportunity to wear a lot of great product, help design special versions of shoes, be a part of TV commercials and travel the world with the brand. I’m excited for what the future holds for me and adidas.”
Lillard’s dedication to basketball brought immediate success in his young NBA career, including being named the unanimous Kia NBA Rookie of the Year. This season, Lillard took another step forward, earning a spot on the Western Conference NBA All-Star team where he also became the first player to complete in all five events at All-Star weekend. Lillard’s improvement has led to team success, as the Trail Blazers have clinched a playoff spot in the tough Western Conference for the first time in three seasons.
“Damian has proven to be not only an amazing basketball player, but a great partner, member of the community and someone who creates excitement for our products,” said Chris Grancio, adidas head of global basketball sports marketing. “His leadership and commitment to success on the court and his ability to interact and relate to fans through social media and the community make him the perfect fit to be one of the cornerstones of the adidas brand.”
After being overlooked by large collegiate programs coming out of high school in Oakland, Calif., Lillard attended Weber State University where he excelled for three seasons. Lillard quickly raised his draft status in 2012 where he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the sixth overall pick. Lillard is currently averaging 21 points, six assists and four rebounds per game for the Trail Blazers.

PHILIPPINES, MARCH 27, 2014 – Premiering within a week of their US premiere, the Emmy®- and Golden Globe-winning GAME OF THRONES returns for its ten-episode fourth season Sunday, April 13 at 10pm, exclusively on HBO / HBO HD, followed by other episodes on subsequent Sundays at the same time. Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, the hit series is an epic story of treachery and nobility set on the continent of Westeros, where summers and winters can last years, and only the lust for power is eternal.
Encouraged by the Red Wedding slaughter in the Riverlands that wiped out many of their Stark nemeses, the Lannisters’ hold on the Iron Throne remains intact…but can they survive their own egos, as well as new and ongoing threats from the South, North and East? While an unbowed Stannis Baratheon continues to rebuild his army in Dragonstone, a more immediate danger comes from the south, as Oberyn Martell, the Lannister-loathing “Red Viper of Dorne,” arrives at King’s Landing to attend Joffrey’s wedding to Margaery Tyrell, and perhaps act on an ulterior agenda. In the north, a depleted Night’s Watch seems overmatched against the inexorable Wall advances of Mance Rayder’s army of wildlings, which in turn is being trailed by an even more formidable foe: the undead White Walkers. As if that weren’t enough, Daenerys Targaryen, accompanied by her menacing trio of dragons and army of Unsullied, is poised to liberate Meereen, the largest city in Slaver’s Bay, which could ultimately provide her with enough ships to sail to Westeros and reclaim the Iron Throne.

Returning series regulars on GAME OF THRONES this season include: Emmy® and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister), Aidan Gillen (Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish), Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Diana Rigg (Lady Olenna Tyrell), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark).
