AyosDito

I first knew about AyosDito from an advertisement in an online social network. I got interested because I need to sell some of my things online because I needed the money and AyosDito is the only online classified ad site that is closer to the local online community. It would be a hassle for me if I deal with an inquiry that is out town or even out of the country.

I already posted of selling comics, books, magazines, action figures and other collectibles. I already succeeded in selling one magazine, a set of comic digest and an action figure. There were also ad I made to sell upon the request of my friend's to sell his collectibles using the site.

In my experience in selling online, not all items I was able to sell. There was the only time that I selling one rare magazine that a potential buyer who already agreed to buy it but didn't come to the time and place where we agreed. Not all potential buyers where like that though. Another buyer bought my action figure which was still being inquired online.

Not all ads posted are for sale. There's an apartment for rent ad in AyosDito that can only be paid but not owned. But the good part is it's free and whether you made a sale or not online, be glad you don't have an investment on this.

Movie Review:Sex and The City 2

Sex and The City 2 brings back Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha on the silver screen. On the sequel, as you may have seen on the trailer, the girls went for a break from their individual commitments to Abu Dhabi and Carrie's unexpected encounter with Aidan.

When the series first started, series didn't just focused on the four major characters, nor the dresses. The star of the show was New York City. The series was not about sex. It's finding love in a big city like New York. That's why Carrie always narrates her write-ups in her column of the same title. The sequels continues about the struggles of these diversed-individually but colorful women.

I found the sequel better because it had more laughs but knowing that the struggles of the ladies are as real as it can. These powerful characters may have succeeded their conflicts one after another, they just prove that they always have obstacles in their relationships that needed overcome. That is why as long as Candice Bushnell writes about relationships in her real-life Sex & the City, there always ideas of individual struggles about it. There is always a reference material for the movie. There were also funny moments from new characters.

The original casts reprises their roles with cameo appearances by Liza Minelli, Miley Cyrus, and more!

Diapers Dryness for Baby Development

Pampers distinguish itself as a leading brand in disposable diapers. Pampers itself is becoming like a generic name for diapers because people knows that Pampers is surely a quality diaper for babies. Through the years, Pampers made innovations in diapers to make sure that our babies are comfortable wearing them without having grown rashes or irritations.

For the knowledge of those who are not yet parents like me, diaper rash is a result of skin irritation due to moisture in the nappy area caused by pH changes that occur when stools and urine combine. Keeping the baby's bottom dry and clean, are the best ways to prevent a rash. Make you you change the baby's diaper after they become wet or soiled.

During the Expo Mom last Sunday, People at Pampers demonstrated that Pampers can absorb the wetness even at the amount of pressure. You may never know. When a baby is playful and accidently fall on it's bun, usually leaks will overflow from the diaper. But with Pampers, they are assured that the diapers will absorb the flow of the baby without having rashes because of the thin layer with zinc oxide cream and petroleum jelly. The Pampers experts also advise not to secure the diaper tightly for comfort and to allow air.

This proves that Pampers is the best diapers in the market when it comes to dryness. Pampers also makes sure that they are the right diaper for an ACTIVE BABY with it's extra locking layer that seals away wetness so it stays dry even under pressure. It has soft,cotton-like outer cover with a great breathability and hypoallergenic lotion with aloe vera.

One of my fellow bloggers who happens to be mom herself examined this for herself and showed the difference with an ordinary diaper. Pampers Active Baby is available in major supermarkets nationwide. For more information, visit www.pampers.ph

Maximizing TIME with your kids

Time management is not only a need to make your time worthwhile at work. Time management is also needed to spend with your offsprings. True, that nowadays, it's also necessary that both parents are working to sustain the family for this is the major investment that no one can ignore. It's really hard to be a working parent. I also believe that time should also be worthwhile especially when it comes to our children. After all, everything the child learns starts at their homes. Time can still be on your side if one is good a managing time. If one can do it at work, you can still do at home. We are living a liminal existence meaning our time is limited. If we don't maximize our time we have with our kids, it easily passes by. You may missed those "photographic moments " that you may not only taken in camera but in memory.

Last Sunday, an expo for mothers was held at Rockwell Tent(Expo Mom). Mom Blogger, Jen Tan and celebrity mom/actress Dimples Romana-Ahmee suggested some tips for time management during their Mommy Talk portion.

Maximizing time with your kids will not make you a "superparent" your kids need but teaching them the value of time management will they learn that time is the best we give and cherish. Kids Watch Central suggests this fun wristwatches for kids so they can learn to value time.

These watches comes with different designs with their favorite cartoon characters from Disney and Cartoon Network. Kids Watch Central is located inside Children's Accessories area in leading department stores such as SM, Landmark, and Rustan's.

Young New Talents in "MARMADUKE" AND "RAMONA & BEEZUS"

Up and coming youngsters Caroline Sunshine and Joey King lend an organic mesh of endearment to upcoming family movies “Marmaduke” and “Ramona and Beezus.”

Caroline Sunshine is Barbara Winslow in the bigger-than-life family adventure “Marmaduke.” The world’s most lovable Great Dane, Marmaduke leaps from the comic strip and continues to live the good life with the Winslows.  The Winslows are about to move out from their old neighborhood because of Phil’s (Lee Pace) work location.  Beleaguered wife Debbie (Judy Greer) along with their children and Marmaduke (voiced by Owen Wilson) suddenly find their life turned upside down. For Marmaduke, he must navigate the canine turf wars and find himself a place among his new set of acquaintances.

Now 14, Sunshine started out as a commercial model for dog food when she was 11 and “Marmaduke” is her first movie project.  Asked in a recent interview in The Rob Redstone Show about her new movie, Sunshine excitedly related that “I really enjoyed playing Barbara because it wasn’t that much of a stretch, I guess since I’m a teenager. But when her family gets uprooted from one place to another, it’s her going through different emotions, as a teenager, and then on top of that, with the big move.  And I think Barbara is a character that a lot of people can relate to, she’s a big texter, she’s very social.  And before the movie I didn’t have a phone…I got my first phone this year.”

Playing a highly-imaginative child in “Ramona and Beezus” from the pages of classic kids’ book series “Ramona” by Beverly Cleary is chaste young talent Joey King.  King stars as Ramona alongside Disney’s teen star Selena Gomez who plays Beezus. The movie follows the adventures of the young Ramona Quimby and her big sister Beezus. Ramona being young and imaginative always ends up a pest to almost everybody in the neighborhood especially to her sister Beezus.  With her vivid imagination, boundless energy, and accident-prone antics, Ramona keeps everyone she meets on their toes. But her irrepressible sense of fun, adventure and mischief come in handy when she puts her mind to helping save her family's home.

King’s portrayal of Ramona resonates a deeply endearing child who finds herself in awkward situations most of the time.  Also starring are John Corbett and Bridget Moynahan as Bob and Dorothy Quimby as the dedicated parents of Ramona and Beezus. Josh Duhamel and Ginnifer Goodwin also star in the movie.

Earning nominations at an early age in the Young Artist Awards for her voice performance in “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” and for her Guest Starring Performance in “CSI,” King proves she’s no neophyte when bringing characters on reel. She has also appeared in the thriller “Quarantine” and as voice talent in “Horton Hears A Who.”

“Marmaduke” opens June 4 and “Ramona & Beezus” comes in later on August 18 in theaters across the Philippines from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Movie Review: Nightmare On Elm Street

Nightmare On Elm Street is bringing it all back from where it all started. Like the other slasher film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, this new Nightmare is reintroducing Freddie Krueger in the new generation. It was a good idea not to show the new Freddie Krueger so you won't compare him with his predecessor, Robert Englund. Unlike the sequels, there were no information that someone from the original cast made cameo appearances for the Nightmare remake. For this new film, it's like having a special edition because of the modern SFX but of course there were also sentiments on how does the actors could feel their roles during the production because they can internalize it instantly. Whether you watch the old version or this one, you may try experience it now that we have 3D cinemas but don't fall asleep because you may never know if you might unexpectedly became one of the cast of the movie.Ha-ha-ha!

Last Night for Defending The Caveman

Defending the Caveman is a monologue or a one-man play or to be inclusively speaking a one-person act about difficulties in relationships. Veteran actor Joel Trinidad reprises his role in this longest-running one-man comedy show in Broadway history.

I watched with friends on it's press night and we laughed not only because Mr. Trinidad did outstanding performance but we all can relate with his witty remarks which most had some serious points to consider in relationships. I may say it is the men's answer to The Vagina Monologues.

Tonight, 8:00 P.M., will be the last night on it's limited performance Carlos P Romulo theatre at RCBC Plaza, Ayala ave. cor. Sen. Gil Puyat ave., Makati Defending the Caveman is the production CTE Productions and Theatre Mogul. Directed by Michael Williams and Cathy Azanza-Dy.

Economic Recovery To Spur Deals at Renewable Energy Asia

Thailand will host Renewable Energy Asia, a 4-day exhibit on June 2-5,2010. Michiel Kruse, managing director of UBM Asia(Thailand), expected this year's RE Asia to open new opportunities for economic recovery. There will be exhibits of thousands of technological innovations from Germany, Japan, and Singapore and more waiting for potential investors from all over. The more investments means more jobs opportunities in their respective companies.

The potential investors will be offered a "free, fourth night stay, paying only for three nights at participating hotels and will have 70% discounts coupons at leading department stores, special prices at cultural and art centers, free international SIM cards and sky train passes plus other benefits if they spend some time in the exhibits, says Supawan Teerarat, Exhibition director of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

What I appreciate about this exhibits is that they are now earth-friendly or since these innovations are not harmful for the environment. There are also special rewards for a promoter. If you invite visitor for the exhibit, you earn $100 for every visitor. There's nothing more rewarding than to see Thailand and open new doors of opportunities.

My First Hands-On Experience of a SPArty at Organic Rituals

When it comes to parlors or spas like these, I usually not into it because, first, I am a man. Second, I thought this is no place for a guy to hang out. After all, when it comes to individual interests, men and women have different perspectives on where to hang out. Guys are aware the priority of grooming but we thought this is too much for us because it's too girly and if we ever were within the vicinity, our state of manhood will be questionable.Period.

But after watching shows like Queer Eye, I made a new perspective of health spas. Upon invitation of another blogger, I gave it a shot to say yes not only because it's a free privilege. It's the first time I heard of the word sparty-a hybrid word of spa and party. This is also another another perspective I have in thought that this was not an exclusive thing. Before, I thought that women goes to spas and parlors because these are the places were they can talk gossip without being around men. I was proven wrong.

At Organic Rituals, it was not only about grooming and socializing, it was also a place for health concerns. There are healthy benefits for everyone, not just the women. They offer natural products that are not chemically harmful to our health and it was also a nice place to chill and relax and socialize as well. I never thought I could enjoy this atmosphere for just hanging out. Besides that, there is also a resident nutritionist available for consultation.

Organic Rituals offers services like Long-Wear Manicure, Long-Wear Pedicure, Pampered Hands and Rescued Feet and more. For body treatments, there are Pure Back, Skin Glow, Body Detox, Whisk Away Salt Scrub, Totally Scrubbed and different massages. The rates of these healthy services ranges from Php 150.00 - 1200.00 You can also arrange spa party packages like what we did to make your spa experience enjoyable to you and your friends. What I appreciate about the place is that it provides the atmosphere of relaxation:the furnishing, color, mood, even the music is relaxing. It has this monastic touch because the spa is Zen inspired.

If you wish to avail of these services, contact Organic Rituals at 661-3101 for appointments.

Movie Review: The Last Song

Plot:For troubled teenager like Veronica "Ronnie" Miller(played by Miley Cyrus), the last thing she needs is a summer with her estranged father(Greg Kinnear) whom she hadn't seen after the divorce with her scheming little brother(Bobby Coleman).

Review: It was only upon watching this movie that I learned that this was an adaptation of one of Nicholas Sparks' novels. What I found out that Nicholas Sparks is also a co-screenplay for this movie. It's not usual for a novelist to write a screenplay of his original story for a movie. The story turned out well for the movie. I can't comment yet in a viewpoint of a book fan since I haven't read any Sparks novel but I have reason to believe that Sparks is pleased with it since he has direct influence in the production.

The casting. A Miley Cyrus movie is not what I expect to watch. I don't watch her show, Hannah Montana since I am not the intended audience for it and it doesn't interest me. I figured watching this movie will make me see more of Miley Cyrus in it than the movie itself. I was proven wrong. Miley didn't take away the spotlight from fellow actors. For the character of Ronnie, it was as if the role was made for Miley Cyrus. Ronnie is not like Hannah Montana like I was expecting. I never thought Miley Cyrus could leave the wholesome Disney teen image for a serious role but not explicitly mature. Kinnear shared some comic moments for the movie but young Bobby Coleman has made a mark for laughs in the movie without getting much attention.

The story. It's a typical Nicholas Sparks story. Set in a quiet, small town. A tragic character. Family, first love, second chances and salvation. But most of all, its a tearjerker so bring something to wipe those crocodile tears but will make you feel good before leaving the cinema. A good film with quality and values for everyone.

A Sneak Peek on New Characters of Toy Story 3

KEN.   Grab your binoculars and join Ken on a safari! A swinging bachelor who's always on the lookout for fun, Ken sports the perfect outfit for his eco-adventure: light blue shorts and a leopard-print shirt with short sleeves sure to keep him cool in the hot sun. PEAS-IN-A-POD will quickly become a parent’s favorite on-the-go toy. The soft, plush pod secures the happy peas inside with a durable metal zipper, making it perfect for the car or stroller. The Peas-in-a-Pod plush toy also develops fine motor skills by catering to a child’s natural grab instinct. Pulling the three peas out of the pod will provide repeated enjoyment for infants and toddlers, and soon they’ll learn to put them back in! Machine washable. Not for human consumption. ©Disney/Pixar. The creators of the beloved “Toy Story” films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in TOY STORY 3. As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future.

Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of “Toy Story 2” and “Finding Nemo”), TOY STORY 3 is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D™ that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these “new” toys.  It’s pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring “no toy gets left behind.”  Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken (yes, that Ken).

Pixar veteran Darla K. Anderson ("Cars," "Monsters, Inc.") produces, while Michael Arndt, Academy Award®-winning screenwriter of “Little Miss Sunshine,” brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities.

TOY STORY 3 opens across the Philippines on June 23 in IMAX 3D, Digital 3D and conventional format.
