Easter is one of the most celebrated holidays in the Christian calendar. This day was designated for Christians to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ all over the world. One tradition common to this Christian holiday is the Easter Egg Hunt.

Although it may appear that the activity is for kids to enjoy, we must acknowledge that Sundays are still a day best spent with families. SM City North EDSA invites you to join their Easter activities at Sky Dome.

Coca Cola Youngstars League 2013

One summer ago, I was invited to attend a media launch of one of Coca Cola's local advocacy: The Youngstars. With collaboration of the Phil. Basketball Association, they help mold the hard court's future stars.
L-R. Mr. Rickie Santos, Atty. Chito Salud, Atty. Adel Tamano, and Ms. Angie Miles

Once again, Coca Cola Philippines is going to have another Youngstars for 2013. The game plan is still the same. Have the youth to get involve in the biggest basketball campaign in the country. Since it is summer and school is out for couple of months, the youth needs something active to do and divert them from other juvenile temptations.

The youth can find ways to divert their attention by joining this year's Coca Cola Youngstars League 2013. Nothing better than playing basketball with the pros of PBA. Not all youth may not become professional ball players but they might become better individuals in this summer event.

As Mamet explains, “The story is her coming to grips with the notion of what is reasonable doubt, and what is prejudice.”
Phil Spector, HBO and Home Box Office are service marks of Home Box Office, Inc. Used with permission.

According to Mamet, PHIL SPECTOR is a mythological story, and he approaches it as such, rather than as a news story. Mamet begins his film with the card, “This is a work of fiction. It’s not ‘based on a true story.’ It is a drama inspired by actual persons in a trial, but it is neither an attempt to depict the actual persons, nor to comment upon the trial or its outcome.”

Al Pacino says, “This is the first trial of Phil Spector – when he is first accused of this heinous crime. It’s all new to him in terms of the media – their reaction to it – and his introduction to Linda, who is played by Helen Mirren. And it’s their relationship, in the course of their preparation for the trial.”

Helen Mirren comments, “I think whenever you have as extreme a personality as Phil Spector was with the kind of history that he had, he is already vilified. He is made into a monster before any trial begins, so I think that was very much the case with Phil Spector, and it does happen in other cases.”

Joining Al Pacino (HBO’s You Don’t Know Jack) and Helen Mirren (HBO’s Elizabeth I) in the cast are Emmy® nominee Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development) as Bruce Cutler, the original lead defense attorney on the Spector team and Golden Globe® nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (HBO’s Tsunami: The Aftermath) as mock prosecutor.

Defense attorney Linda Kenney Baden served as a consultant on the film, which is executive produced by Academy Award® winner Barry Levinson and David Mamet, and produced by Emmy® winner Michael Hausman.

Catch the premiere of PHIL SPECTOR when it premieres on Monday, March 25 at 8pm exclusively on HBO and HBO HD.

L.E.N.S. Blog Posts

In my duration of blogging, I was able to create few more blogs for specific posts. Specific topics which includes movies, music, food, hobbies, and soon, travel. With this site as my flagship blog, I will back link some interesting posts from those other blogs here from time to time starting with this one.

During the opening day of WorldBex 2013, an exhibit event about building suppliers; I was invited by Mariwasa to visit their booth. They provided product demonstrations and more.

In movies, I was able to see Jack The Giant Slayer. Here's my review. Another fantasy related movie was Oz, which I will soon publish a review. Here are some facts about Oz.

I was able to do a food review recently which I haven't done in quite a while. I was able to have a fine dining in a Thai cuisine called Koh Samui.

In the music scene, CCP is having the Metropolitan Opera here. Here are the details of this event.

Mariwasa at WorldBex 2013

If you own a house, it pays to have a know-it-all when it comes to maintenance even if you are not a professional. I am not an expert myself so when I ask a repairman or a carpenter to do some work, I try to take time watching them how they do it. I also ask them questions about it.

If you want to know the basics of house craft, this is probably the best time to consider this. Mariwasa and SCG is exhibiting their products and doing product demonstration at the WorldBex, an exhibit events organizer.

This is the kind of event that will make you realized your dreams about having a house makeover. One particular exhibit for example is from Mariwasa. They are doing product demonstrations and mini-workshop about how to design your interiors using their products.

One product demonstration I attended showed how to design tiles for your own swimming pool. After the demo, I found out how simple they do it but it also pays to consult the professional interior designer before you try it. The Mariwasa people will surely fill you in the details.

I was showed the many designs to choose from as pattern design for the walls. Besides that, one of the products Mariwasa distributed locally was SCG. SCG specializes in roof tiles. If you like your house to look like Italian, they have similar roof tiles that looks like that. I even observed a demo how to set it up on your roof.

Bathroom tiles are also a problem especially when it got wet. Accidents happen when it's slippery. Mariwasa offers bathroom tiles that are not slippery. They showed us that you can walk barefoot on it even if there's running water.

Catch their product demonstrations from 4PM onwards at World Trade Center. WorldBex end March 17, 2013. In case you won't make it, they have a summer warehouse sale at Rey Home Center outlets from April 12 to 15, 2013.

Yocal.PH Online Launched At SMX

There are already a couple of buy and sell online sites that made advertising more easier but sometime, the sellers didn't pass the buyers' expectations and ends up looking for another one. This is were Yocal.Ph comes in.

During the PISM Supplylink 2013 opening day at SMX, Yocal.Ph had a booth so the public will hear about what is Yocal can offer to entrepreneurs. Although I browsed their site before seeing their booth, I still watched their video presentation to know more about Yocal.Ph .

I was introduced to Ms. Jude Hugo, Project Manager for Yocal.Ph, and she oriented me about how they operate.Yocal.Ph evolved from another site called Red Pages. Last year when they are changing the site, they transferred the database contacts to Red Pages to Yocal.Ph so the time invested will not go to waste. Eventually, they just continued what they started in a new format.

Ms.Jude told me that unlike the selling sites, Yocal.Ph is site that deals business-to-business. She explains that after registering to the site, you have the option to post what you need from suppliers or tell your costumers what can you provide.

Ms. Jude adds that the purpose of signing up to the site is just for increasing the online population but to screen the businesses registered. This way, they will find out if the business is legitimate and not a bogus seller.
Yocal.Ph booth at SMX Convention Center

In a way, Yocal.Ph is a matching site using almost the same platform like a social network. With its screening process of the business sellers, buyers won't have any problem looking for the right supplier at Yocal.Ph . This is what you expect in the site. For example purpose only, let's say I am starting my own hotel business. I will need contractors to supply materials to build a hotel at the right price. Yocal.Ph will match my buying request to the right supplier.
PSIM awards Yocal.Ph for their booth presentation

Either, I will contact the supplier or the supplier will contact me and sends me the proposal. When negotiation occurs, this is the part were Yocal.Ph leaves. Ms. Jude says that Yocal.Ph only matches the buyers and the suppliers. They leave the negotiation part just between them. Ms. Jude points out that Yocal.Ph is an online directory and not a buy and sell site.
Yocal.Ph's video presentation showing a buyer and a supplier

Yocal.Ph does not come free like any online store site. They also have a package deals especially for suppliers registered to them. Yocal.Ph will surely be the best marketing tool. To register, sign up at .
