In my last post about Visit Daet 2012, I was narrating the updates of Daet as reported by Mayor Tito Sarion during the Visit Daet road show when Gayon Bicol Trade Fair opened last Wednesday, October 6, 2011 held at Megatrade Hall 2.

Also happening during the road show was an On-the-spot painting session by Daet’s popular personalities. Among them were retired basketball player Atoy Co and actor Joross Gamboa along with other Daet’s best talents. Their works will be displayed in the Daet Heritage Center which I was able to see during my first visit at Camarines Norte. Actor/Director Jun Urbano and comedienne Marissa Sanchez were also present and performed during the program. Even the wife of Mayor Tito participated as a subject in the painting session.

Continuing on Mayor Tito’s update about Daet, one of his projects and concerns is the housing project for the poor with Gawad Kalinga. Besides building houses, Daet will also have its venue for conventions, conference dubbed as the Daet Astrodome.

In addition to housing programs, there are also promising career opportunities when business process outsourcing will be established in Daet. Another convenience that will be also making it easier for Daet is the inter-island public transportations. Daet has islands within the vicinity like Canimog and Calaguas, the raw beach I visited last time in Camarines Norte.
Visit the Gayon Bicol Trade Fair until October 9, 2011
