Crystal Jade Is Now In the Philippines

Crystal Jade
September 10, 2010. With now about 90 outlets over Asia, Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao or Crystal Jade for short opened its first outlet in the Philippines. Located at Virra Mall Greenhills Shopping Center, Filipinos can experience fine authentic Chinese dining that has been enjoyed in Singapore, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and more. What’s great about Crystal Jade’s location in Greenhills Shopping Center is that you don’t need to get through the Virra Mall just dine there. It is just near the Virra Mall’s entrance.
Ice Honey Lemon
For starters, you will be served with their house tea which is Jasmine Tea. For your drinking pleasure, I suggest their Ice Honey Lemon. It is naturally sweet because of honey without sugar that is very refreshing.
Steamed Soupy Pork Dumpling
For appetizers, here are some choices. The Steamed Soupy Pork Dumpling or Xiao Long Bao. It’s a steamed dumpling filled with pork, piping hot broth, which is savory. It is suggested that you puncture the wrapper first to let the steam out then slurp the soup slowly before eating the dumpling down.
Vegetable Bun
Radish Pastry is another appetizer with layers of crispy turnip pastry. Vegetable bun is another heavy appetizer that can be enjoyed whether you are a vegetarian or not. The Cold Cucumber with Minced Garlic in Sesame Oil is a refreshing starter that is crunchy and can also be a healthy side dish.
Crispy Eel in Sweet Sauce
Cold Sliced Pork Roll with Cucumber and Garlic. Good for the health conscious. It is not greasy. The Crispy Eel with Sweet Sauce Wu Xi Style is one of my favorites. It is an appetizer that can also be a viand or side dish.
Spicy Sour Soup Sichuan Style
For soup, I suggest the Spicy Sour Soup Sichuan Style. It is a thick soup with combination of complex taste. Sour, spicy, and Savory. The soup itself is already a mouthful. For the main course, The Sauteed Chicken with Cashew Nuts In Spicy Sauce is made up of chunks of chicken, and mixed spices that made up its sauce. You don’t need to eat this with rice.
Noodles with Spicy Peanut Sauce
The Noodles with Spicy Peanut Sauce is flavorful because of the spicy peanut sauce. The Yang Zhou Style Fried Rice is diced with Chinese sausage, shrimp, and egg tossed with the seasonings. Another addition to the main course is the Sauteed String Beans Minced with Pork and Olive. The nutritious string beans are deep fried fresh and covered with special sauce with chunks of minced pork and olive.
Souffle Ball with Red Bean Paste
For desserts, I suggest the Souffle Ball with Red Bean Paste and the Mango Pudding. The soufflé ball is a traditional snack and the mango pudding has real mangos in it. These desserts are a great finale especially after the spicy dishes.

Mango Pudding
During my dining experience, I also witness how they made their noodles. It was quite a show as if  it was a magic act. This guarantees that their noodles are new upon every order.
