Movie Review: The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Jerry Bruckheimer once again made another movie for Disney: The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Again, Bruckheimer cast one of his favorites, Nicholas Cage but not as the main character and this is not the same apprentice in Disney classic, Fantasia but there were rumors of connections. It was good of Nicholas Cage not taking a lead role from Jay Baruchel because it doesn't serves its purpose and Baruchel was as nerdy as he sounds when he's in character. Although it is a fantasy genre, you can still relate with the humanity of the characters in the story. The story is so simple and because it's a Disney production, it doesn't have violence and the movie is more family-oriented. Opens July 15, in Philippine cinemas and is released through Disney Pictures.
