On Christmas Trees

On yesterday's broadcast of Rated K, Korrina Sanchez said that Christmas trees were popularized during Marin Luther King's time in Germany. I don't know much about origins of Christmas trees but I know for sure that it has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus Christ. It was not even Christian and was considered pagan. I'm also sure that Martin Luther King,Jr. is not from Germany but from the United States and was named after a German monk and reformer Martin Luther, founder of the Lutheran church. Ms. Sanchez should cross-examine her scripts.
