Bike for Charity in the 7-Eleven Tour 500

The number "500" is a magical number for the world's most popular convenience store chain. The opening of 7-Eleven's 500th store in Eton Centris in Quezon City marks, not only the steady growth and expansion of the brand locally, but also the chain's loyalty to its promise to deliver excellent service and quality products to its consumers and franchisers. But the magic of the number 500 does not end there. In celebration of the opening of their 500th store, 7-Eleven also wants to give back to the Filipino community, who has remained faithful and staunch customers since the launch of its first store in 1984, with a special biking tour aptly named the 7-Eleven Tour 500. This inspiring advocacy was created to provide a safe and fun venue for biking enthusiasts of all ages (experienced and non-experienced bikers alike) to enjoy the world through two wheels, while helping those in need and the less fortunate by giving back to chosen charities. The company itself has its own group of experienced bikers who train and joins nationwide competitions.

Open to all biking enthusiasts who want to enjoy the thrills of riding in a safe environment while helping your chosen charities, the 7-Eleven Tour 500 will commence on August 8, 2010 at 7:30am at the 7-Eleven Market Drive in Filinvest Corporation, Alabang. The fun and challenging tour is intended for those who want to complete their first 60km ride in serene and supportive surroundings, as well as those who wish to test themselves in a competitive environment. The first 37km of the route will take riders through Daang Hari, Molino Drive, Paliparan Road and Governor's Drive. You can then choose to turn into Amadeo Road or test your endurance, since the next 23km will take you on a route with an average grade of 2.5%, finishing at the Tagaytay Convention Center.
