Dave Ferrer
A vanguard of the local advertising industry, Dave Ferrer got his start as an art director for Saatchi, before moving to BBDO as Creative Director, then to J. Walter Thompson Manila where he ultimately found himself as Executive Creative Director. With two prestigious Cannes Gold Lions under his belt, he is now known as the youngest creative to be inducted in the Philippine Creative Guild Hall of Fame. This list is by no means a comprehensive collection of local design personalities that you should be following. For more, be sure to check out the Adobo Design Awards Asia (aDDA), where these prestigious names will be joined with the likes of Harvey M. Tolibao of HMT Studios, acclaimed director Quark Henares, and Wawi Navarroza of Wawi Navarroza Studios, to judge this year’s prestigious competition.
Already on its 8th year, the aDDA continues its partnership with the prestigious D&AD, making it one of the most prestigious and coveted awards in the region for the industry. Their mission? To champion the best in design and recognize the talents behind the work. The competition is open to all design professionals and enthusiasts in Asia and will run simultaneously with design seminars and exhibits that promote design and creativity.
Deadline for submission of entries is on March 11, in time for judging on March 27-28. The Grand Awards Night will take place on April 5, 2017.
The adobo Design Awards is presented by adobo magazine together with event partners Bench, Globe Telecom, Powermac Center, Brand New Media, PWC, Greenbulb PR, Executive Decisions and Green Sun.
