Just before the opening ceremony, there were individual categories that was occurring. During the press conference at the Capitol Resort, Archery was ongoing in its premises. That night. I was able to meet the NCR delegates with Bro. Armin Luistro, Secretary for Department of Education. I was able to greet the kids, asking them what are they playing, where are they from in the Metro. I felt instrumental lifting their spirits before the big day.
The opening day: It was scheduled Sunday the sixth but it was moved the following day. Everyone was anticipating the day at Narciso Stadium. Patrons were lining up for inspection as well as the media for official media stickers for their camera straps. The ceremony started with a colorful festival presentation from the host province. After the presentation, the majority were awaiting the parade of regional delegates in their distinctive uniformed colors that represents them. Each region has their own gimmicks to catch attention.

After the parade along the oval, the delegates line up in front of the stage to give respects to the national anthem and for the prayer followed by the pledge of sportsmanship. Even though it was a hot day, all present were not hindered for the ceremony. Bro. Armin and the nation's president, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III gave their messages for the delegates. The next part about Palarong Pambansa will be the some participants that you should watch out for. Also present were former President and Pangasinan local Fidel V. Ramos and former mayor of Pagsanjan, ER Ejercito.
