Enter The World of Bantorra

Hit a different kind of library this school break with Book of Bantorra.

Opening the gates to an alternative world filled with magic, fantasy, and books, The Book of Bantorra takes you to a realm where everyone who dies gets turned into books that are stored in the Bantorra Library. Want to learn more about how a particular person lived his or her life? Just go to the Bantorra Library and read a book to plunge into their lives—literally—because all you need is to touch a stone tablet ‘book’ to see a person’s history.

Book of Bantorra follows the tale of Colio, a young boy who had his memories erased. Armed with a bomb embedded in his chest, Colio sets out to kill Hamutz Meseta, the world’s most powerful Armed Librarian. But fate takes a different turn when Colio, upon seeing his target, falls in love with her and ends up getting caught in the war between two great factions—the psychic power-wielding Armed Librarians and the religious cult Sindeki Kyoudan, which manipulates people against the Library for its sinister purposes.

What will happen to Colio and Hamutz? Who will end up taking over the Bantorra Library? How will the war end? Find out the answers to these questions on October 21 as Animax Asia premiers Book of Bantorra.

Book of Bantorra premiers on October 21, 2011 and airs from Monday to Friday at 11 p.m. only on Animax. For more information, you may log on to http://www.animax-asia.com/.

Animax Reveals the Sequel to the Hit Anime “Last Exile”

Do you remember that death-defying episode when our two vanships couriers encountered the mysterious girl that is said to be the “key” to bring peace in their world?

Any diehard anime fan would probably say “yes”. Well, I did.

It was approximately 10 years ago when I watched the steampunk epic, Last Exile; and I must say it was one hell of a ride. When I encountered the Animax teaser online, I had a feeling that Gonzo – the studio behind Last Exile and other hit series such as Gatekeepers and Fullmetal Panic – is bringing another masterpiece.

The encrypted Morse code message on the teaser that clearly said “EXILE” practically gave it away. Finally, after weeks of waiting Animax Asia reveals that the sequel to the 2003 hit anime will be called Last Exile – Fam, the Silver Wing – and will be aired on Animax same day as Japan. This time however, the much-awaited sequel to Last Exile has a different story, a new set of characters, and kickass vanship designs!

The story of Last Exile – Fam, the Silver Wing – centers on the adventure of a 15-year-old pilot Fam Fan Fan and her best friend Giselle. As a member of the Sky Pirates, she and the other members make a living by hunting for battleships that they resell. But the two girls are caught in a conflict between two nations when a war erupts. The plot thickens as our heroines strike a deal to help save the nations princesses.

In promotion of the upcoming premiere of LASTEXILE –Fam, The Silver Wing–, fans can also find out more about the new anime series from the dedicated micro-site created by Animax at www.animax-asia.com/shows/lastexile <http://www.animax-asia.com/shows/lastexile>, complete with show information, pictures and video clips.

Get your jumpsuits ready guys (and gals) looks like we’re in for another airship adventure!

Animax Has Something New To Look Forward To In October

Animax Asia has a mysterious teaser trailer. From what I heard, it has an encrypted message. What's interesting is that they promised it will be a fresh Japan episode. For the first time, it will be simultaneous airing with Japan. In my years of anime fandom, this was never done before. Check it out.

Intrigued? So am I. According to a source, there's more to reveal on September 24. You can interact your thoughts about it on their website.
