THE
Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), together with its officers, staff and
members of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra surprised the pre-departure
crowd at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 with a
“flashmob” performance on October 3, 2012. The performance was held in
celebration of the CCP’s 43rd anniversary. Through this “random act of
culture”, the CCP brings performance out of its Roxas Boulevard venue to a
public space to exemplify its vision of “making art matter to the life of every
Filipino.” The said project is made possible in cooperation with the
NAIA.

Throughout its 43 years of existence, the CCP has strived to bring the most
exciting and engaging cultural experiences from the Philippines and all over
the world to audiences at the CCP complex, various venues in the regions, and
recently, on the world wide web through its online programs.

The CCP also commits to the broadening of audiences who support, appreciate and
participate in artistic and cultural activities. The arts education and
outreach programs ensure that the arts are appreciated by the next generation
of Filipinos and numerous communities outside the CCP complex.
